Mission Statement
The mission of the academy for film and television is to integrate the acting foundations and methods necessary for the stage into the newer performance art form of film and television.

The specialization required by on-camera genres moves beyond the traditional interpretation of dramatic action and literature, into the distinctive needs of adjusting performance methods to electronic media. The Academy aims to train the artist in a systematic approach in conjunction with understanding the technical and professional demands of these fast-paced, goal-oriented, profitable venues.

Facility
Caryn International studios, the home of the Academy for Film and Television, was built by Caryn and Chuck Rosenberg. It is a newly renovated, multi-use production facility located in St. Louis Park. It includes one- and two-camera studios, state-of-the-art video editing equipment, cameras, classrooms, and dressing rooms. Students are in the professional environment, as the classrooms are working studios.

Curriculum
TheAcademy is a conservatory-level, professional training program for acting in film, television, industrials, commercials, and theatre. The Academy's faculty of professional artists and educators have created the curriculum to give the highest quality education in the field.

Faculty
The faculty at the Academy for Film and Television are working artists in the fields of film, television, commercials, industrials, theatre, casting, and production. They bring their professional and educational experience to the classroom. Most of the faculty is local, working in the industry here and nationally. We also offer workshops with guest teachers form New York and Los Angeles.
